Crazed Brazilian crossover thrash from Psychic Possessor. The band ventures into some questionable "grooves" from time to time on their 1988 debut album Toxin Diffusion. Most of the lyrics deal in the dangers of toxins and biochemical weapons, an obsession that seems to permeate the scores of new retro thrash trend bands. I'll take Psychic Possessor over Municipal Waste or Toxic Holocaust any day of the week.

Maybe if you guys would have booked a (ahem) dinosaur-themed metal band (ahem) I would be more inclined to bend the rules, but I'll be busy packing stuff and playing Transformers with the littl'un tonight. Whoever mentioned 'The Crazies' was spot on! Any of you learned punks ever see the 1980 Luigi Cozzi flick called 'Contamination' (aka 'Alien Contamination')??? This album cover looks like a still right before a head explodes. And that's a good indication...
