First Utterance

Of course you knew this classic would appear here at some point, and I assume that most of you already have well worn copies of First Utterance in your collections, but just in case someone out there has never been exposed to the pagan acid folk insanity that was Comus...

  4. I envy Tim. I wish I had just heard this for the first time too. I like that Opeth named a album after one of the lyrics.

  7. Indeed one of the best albums EVER. Gonna see 'em live in April @ the Roadburn Festival in Tilburg, Holland... And I'm still hoping for Ludicra and Hammers to show up on the bill as well... ;)
Aesop, didn't Ross tell you how awesome this festival is?

  8. I think Opeth turned a lot of people, such as myself, onto this album. Apparently they are reformed and have plans to play the US sometime in the future.

  10. Aesop,

Among the many things you deserve major thanks for, I want to specifically thank you for always including such clear, hi-rez scans of album covers. So helpful for us OCD collectors.

  11. I do when I can, but my scanner sucks.
