Here's Confuse's Contempt For The Authority, And Take Off The Lie + 3 Tracks CD I recently acquired. It contains the Contempt For The Authority, And Take Off The Lie EP from '85 and three tracks that originally appeared on the Jisatsu Omnibus comp. It's short (14:23) and it was crazy expensive (about $30 after shipping costs) but I am a collecting nerd and this actually has a lyric sheet which is pure Engrish poetry and makes it worth any price. Confuse frontman, Dis, was like a noise punk Matsuo Basho penning such gold as the lyrics to "Fuckin' Lovers":
In your room, love's spread
In fiction days, you lie
In your room, love's spread
In the every night, you're a fucker
Fuck off, lovers, you must fall
Fuck off, lovers, pussycat
Fuck off, lovers, you must fall
Fuck off, you're a liar
I love this song, Pure lyrical gold, confuse rule. "Fuck off Lovers PussyCat!!!"
ReplyDeleteThat's why I love you and the Hearse Aesop, you go the extra mile and treat us to lyrics like that...
ReplyDelete核性交= nuclear sex?
ReplyDeleteAnyway fuck yeah on this post- great stuff indeed. Where'd you pick the cd up from?

ReplyDeleteThanks. I already have this of course, but its timely for me as I failed to win the eBay UK auction on this CD last week. It ended at £16 but I guess I forgot about the damn auction, plus expensive..but I did get Spending Loud Night CDEP for a tenner (also quite expensive tbh, but whatever) ha ha

Well, SLobo, if you hadn't pointed me towards BASE I wouldn't have this. I got this, Indignation, Nuclear Addicts, Gai Total COntrol, Extermination, and the Violent Party CD for under $200 USD.

That place is great- thanks for the info.
you can't argue with lyrics of such poetic genius and you definitely can't argue with the music that goes with them.great stuff indeed.thanks Aesop.
ReplyDeleteYeah, my trade with Base kinda fell through when my zine went digital hah...but buying the CDs for me is more of a halfway thing before and going the whole length and getting the damn vinyls -which is not that expensive than what you may first think, for e.g. I see you can usually get SLN 7" on eBay for about £30/$50 or so...but ultimately, as my friend experiened first hand (the bastard) in Japan you will find the flexi and the 7"s if you search enough local record shops.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I am not sure if I am imagining this but it sounds as if this Anarchy Centre reissue sound marginally "cleaner" soundwise than what all the bootlegs and vinyl rips on internet does, shame its only 128 bit haahahaha
Thanks Aesop!
Oh, and:

That much repeated "most bootlegged Japanese band" should be most reissued band!
I discovered Confuse through a bootleg CDR discography I bought at Gilman Street. I was so smitten by the cover image of the band. Thank god for the bootlegs.
