Here we have a brilliant cassette titled Tuskanvuorten Valtaistuin by Finnish Black Metal band, Muinainen Rhutinas. The band doesn't dabble in any kind of experimentation or strange instrumentation, Muinainen Rhutinas offer up well-played, well-written Black Metal, and nothing else. Fanatastic riffs and atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Thanks again. I've never even heard of this, but I'm listening to the first track now and I can tell I'm going to like it.
ReplyDeleteThose barren trees just reek of isolation and cold. Thanks so much for this one.

Good stuff. Been jamming Sleepwalker quite a bit lately. Know anything about Skagos? Heard a dude from Iskra dropping the crust and focusing solely on back metal. havent heard alot of it thoug....
ReplyDeleteThis is a solid entry in the Hearse's Black Metal cache. It sounds great with the insane windstorms we've been having down here in LA.
ReplyDeletethis is magical, thanks a lot.
ReplyDeleteReally Excellent Annie Thanks and Merry Christmas
ReplyDeleteThe track "Loppuni" is worth the time to check this out alone. Thank you as always for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff. I'm in the holiday mood now for sure. Well-done basic black metal is one of life's simple pleasures.
ReplyDelete@Nickabe57: Skagos is terrific, though in a rather different vein from this.
@ nickabe57: One member of Skagos is in Iskra, but he only recently joined Iskra, and he is not the primary composer of Skagos material. look them up on myspace and be blown away.
ReplyDeleteGreat listen, really enjoying this one tonight.
ReplyDeletethanks!
Perfect. These tunes + scotch + some chocolate leftover from my girlfriend's office party = great xmas eve? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteGracias Yazata...also saw they are on the same label that shares their address with the old woodsmoke label.
ReplyDeletetrue, but the two labels are not connected, aside from using the same address. Eternal Warfare has been around for some time, overlapping considerably with the period of Woodsmoke's reign.
ReplyDeleteThis was released by Tour de Garde out of Montreal, the label is run by Akitsa member, OT.
ReplyDeletethank you!!! loving the verivala too!!
