Obscure Ovations

Proto-death from '86, Sweden's Obscurity were among the first of many sad-eyed Scandi-teens to follow Bathory into sonic Nifelheim and create Sweden's greatest export, Death Metal!!! Their debut, Ovations To Death. was pure primitive exuberance, and pretty extreme for the time. When this was released you were a fucking fetus, poser.

  8. I was old enough to legally drink when this was released, and thus not a fetus, but I still wasn't cool enough to know about it. Shame on me. Thanks for bringing me up to speed.

  10. I don't think I would name my band after something I would fall into later on, knowhatImean? As for my 'fetusness', I was 15 at that time and getting my first "10 Tapes For A Penny* (anybody remember that shit?) and masturbating alot.

*= Not really a penny, but I never paid for them, and used fake names.
