Cult of Daath is the unholy work of two blasphemous brothers from Chicago who were conceived through black mass rape. Wargoat and Culggath are Satanic siblings with an unabashed occult obsession. Slit Throats and Ritual Nights (2005) is the duo's second album, and it is fucking excellent. Cult of Daath seem to have been raised on the old school black metal of early Bathory and Beherit, but this album has a crust punk aftertaste that that sets this above of the retro hordes of spike-wearing satanicunts. This is a serious "drink the blood from the skull" kind of affair, and if you had any doubts, there is a song called "drink the blood from the skull." Fuck yeah!
thanks for reminding me of this album...the dudes at hospital productions were playing this and it was pretty sick. if it's as good as i recall i will pick it up.
ReplyDeletefuck yeah! suck satan's cock!

ReplyDeleteThis rips. I'd be an acolyte of daath. The drumming rules.
ReplyDeleteMidnight Mutilation!!!!!!!!! I keep this album in my truck and crank it regularly.
ReplyDeletesomehow I find this lacks a bit of "feel". otherwise it would be awesome.
ReplyDeletethe guys who released this, deathgasm records, used to have a retail shop down the street from my old house. In the Georgia suburbs of all places. Super cool obscure vinyl, cassettes, and cds. They eventually closed (of course.) Until a few years ago I didn't even realize how much amazing stuff they put out.
ReplyDeleteI fucking love this album, as well as their demo and the "Razor War" 7". If anyone else worships vinyl, the killer double LP version is still available from Nuclear war Now! Productions (nwnprod.com)
ReplyDeletethis is fucking amazing
ReplyDeleteSorry to inundate you with so many comments man, I'm unemployed at the moment and bored shitless. Anyway, I'm pretty ignorant about BM, but am fucking obsessed with this lp, been listening to it non-stop since DLing. Can you please recommend any other bands/lps with a similar sound? thanks
ReplyDeleteAylmer, comments are always welcome. Hmmm, albums like this? HAve you checked out the awesome Grand Belial's Key album that was posted here a ways back? It's hard not to love that one.
ReplyDeleteI came home from work last Friday contemplating the demise of humanity after dealing with numerous fucktards. This album kept the body count down, lol. Been listening to the hell out of it!! Definitely going on my "Favorite Filthy & Evil Albums" playlist!
ReplyDeleteOH AWESOME! I had this a while back and lost it, I swear i was wearing the disc out (I'm new to this whole digital music thing)... Thanks for this, the production on this one is just dirty enough to make me smirk that "holy shit this is awesome" smirk.
