"Voodoo Jive" is top to bottom quality and kids love it. A shame that Screamin' Jay never got to fulfill his wish to sing opera. He'd have been great as the Devil in Faust.
Most consistent Hawkins elpees are probably 'What That Is!' & 'Because Is in Your Mind', both of which make up the 'Feast of the Mau Mau' double set. Entirely necessary. "Constipation Blues" is on the first one!
This album should be in everyone's collection, even if that collection is mp3s on a hard drive.
Why is it that most non greatest hits Screaming Jay records contain five or six moments of total brilliance and 1 or 2 utter piles of shit?
