Metal

Manilla Road is America's best kept secret. For over three decades Mark "The Shark" Shelton has been delivering some the greatest epic metal and yet Manilla Road remains generally unknown. I gave you their best album and their first album, but the second record Metal is another favorite of mine. This sits perfectly between the other two, it shows the band realizing their more metalized NWOBHM sound but still retains some of the naive wonky charm of the debut. I swear Tenacious D's career was built on the song "Cage of Mirrors."

Thank you for this great album. I have always wanted to hear the albums before Crystal Logic. Going to get the first album also. Everyone should listen to Manilla Road!

Holy Hell, this rips. What an opener: the horror score picked riff of "Enter the Warrior" before that chugging line starts. Wowza.

the lyrics to the title track basically explain my religion and personal connection to metal in about five minutes.
