So what if I told you that there was a band from Olympia, Washington (of all places) that kinda sounds like Mia Zapata fronting Diamond Head? What if I told you their new album Agony and Opium (20 Buck Spin) was one of the best records of 2010? What if I told you they are playing tonight at The Hemlock in San Francisco with Thrones and Acid King? What if I gave you their awesome debut 7"?

This and Disemballerina have given me a sountrack to the paper I have to write tonite. Thank you, sir.
"What if I told you their new album Agony and Opium was one of the best records of 2010?"
You'd be right, that's what.
No if only someone could tell me they're going to play the UK...
I didn't get the hype with Agony and Opium, truth be told. I thought it was good, but not fantastic. That's been a recurring symptom this year.
Cheerz.
I'd say "Thank you very much and rock the fuck on!!"
This will be cool to have in the digital world. This band is fantastic. Go see them, get their new record.
thanks, man! i picked up this 7" along with their CD when i saw them in Chicago (they killed it) but my turntable is dead right now, stoked to hear it!
also, i would kill to see them with Acid King. in fact, i would kill to see Acid King at all.
they were really good last night in oakland. Slough Feg was life affirming though, fuck. first time seein either band, best show ive been to this year
They rocked hard last night in Oakland. They managed to hold their own opening for Slough Feg.
Just received the LP/7" combo package in the mail a week ago or so and it's barely left the turntable. I'm a little obsessed over this band. Anybody have mp3s of the demo tape?
Sold. Dig the name.
This is the kinda shit I live for, amazing LP, amazing live and good people!
DUDE!! i saw them last night and i said pretty much the EXACT SAME THING except i didn't specify a NWOBHM band. anyway, they totally blew me away.
I have spent a LOT of time trying to get any info/mp3's etc about this band, and the previous one that the singer was in.
I want the CM demo too, the only link I found said it was sold out.
Never heard of them, digging it. Just bought Agony and Opium as well.
I've been a fan of Christian Mistress for a while and was super excited to see them play in Santa Cruz on the Thrones tour, but my band was playing the same night at the same time halfway across town so I missed 'em. Sometimes being in a band sucks. This 7" (and all of their stuff) rips though!
This is great--I'll have to buy the album.
Demo's now downloadable straight from the band's homepage.
