Xynfonica

Remember that Shevalreq bit of weirdness I posted some time ago? Well the mad genius behind the Hekaloth label, and it's utterly bizarre pantheon of History Channel guitar-synth Jazz Black Metal projects is back with Xynfonica. This time around Vikings and Norse mythology provide the inspiration. Like I've said before, so confusing, and seemingly insane, either you instantly will be a fanatic follower of all things Hekaloth, or you just be puzzled and somewhat disconcerted.

Must we choose one or the other?

Yeah I saw this over at Sector 2814 a hint of The Residents but different

'Orthrelm's album' OV just a drummer and guitarist in the band/project incredible shredding over one 45 minute track also a highlight.

That Shevalreq was a goddamn head scratcher if I ever heard one. Looking forward to this...

So since you can't find a link for catagorizing this release are you going to use Hekaloth?

William, I considered it.

I got a chance to check this one out, after becoming enamored with Shevalreq. This one is not as screwed up as Shevalreq. It is a bit more together. Still fairly out there, but not as good in my opinion as the Shevalreq.

I did also check out Ocrilim - Ment which (I think) was also mentioned in the comments here. This one is interesting, pretty good. Very weird. Sounds like it was mainly made with guitar overdubs. Two long tracks. Interesting.

Have you checked out Gluttony? It's from the same guy/girl/troll? It's slightly more jazzy though.
