Death Warrant

Here's another weird one-off release by another ultra-obscure '80s Heavy Metal outfit. This time it's seedy Germans, Death Warrant. The cover art alone is enough to win me over, but the Death Warrant's punk/new wave approach to NWOBHM style hard rock is pretty charming as well, kind of like a less-polished Accept fronted by a more polished Johnny Rotten. Oh, and the ESL lyrics about poon, rocking the stage, love, and drugs only sweeten the deal. On the opener "Ecstasy" nasal-voiced front-perv, Wolfgang Marquardt, sings what sounds like "If you suck my cock, I'll drive your clitoris." Death Warrant believed only in using single entendre apparently. Despite all this goofiness, the songs are catchy. This EP just fucking rules, but don't take my word for it.

Ahh those crazy Germans. Accept is still around but not sure if Udo is still singing for them. Love the Iron Maiden looking logo and Tarantula on the cover. Rock and Roll power in the air.

Ohh was rockin' too hard. The power is out but I'm still gettin' a signal on the laptop. Weird. Some assflap probably hit a utility pole on the road. Right in the middle of jammin' Ecstasy when it went out. Oh well got some beers in the cooler and a couple snicklefritz joints. And found all the good Krokus albums for downloads. Battery says 1.4 hours remaining.

By the Metal 'fro of Mark Storace, have you heard "Headhunter"? That's a good Krokus album. Even if some of the dickweeds at my high school in my bullshit town liked it.

Oh but I'll give these seedy (not speedy?) Germans a good listen.

"less-polished Accept fronted by a more polished Johnny Rotten" spot on description. Tho' he sounds a bit Dave Vainian on "Love in in My Heart".

This totally rules. The esl lyrics just add to the seriously catchy songs.
