Okay, I'm back again. Let's just jump right into this. Battalion of Saints were San Diego's best contribution to the global hardcore market. I have chosen to drop their first 12" EP sometimes called Fighting Boys on you today. Not as driving or hard as the Second Coming, LP but still a fun piece of vinyl.

Yeah this record really makes me frown. Excellent.
Haha. I haven't heard this in years. In fact, I had all but forgotten about BoS. Nice!
if you forgot about this band please hand in your HC card...
So awesome to hear this again! Who was the artist that did those awesome covers? Did he do Wolf's Blood/Earth AD too?
MAd Marc Rude was the artist, and yes he did Earth AD/Wolfsblood as well. He was great. Passed away in 2002 I believe. Here is a great Eulogy by the amazing Dennis Dread:

Welcome back!!!
ALWAYS, loved these guys!! I also heard its true that George Anthony is the only surviving original member. I knew about Chris Smith's passing in a freak bathtub drowning incident shortly after moving to New York and joining/recording "Whetting The Scythe" with Kraut. Comically I remember reading an old Tesco Vee Touch and Go article from 1982 or '83 where George and Chris say they either killed off members of the original "original" line up or they were dead.
Anybody out there know anything about what happened to the other guys in the original line ups?
