School Jerks are a promising young punk band from Toronto, and they are just one of many burgeoning hordes that look to the past for hardcore inspiration. Though the members of School Jerks were probably swimming in their daddy's flesh bags when giants like Negative Approach and Void tore down the walls of VFW halls and basements, these pups rage like Reagan is alive and still in office. Over and out in a scant five minutes, their EP titled Decline, packs enough '80s suburban fury to have you reaching for your Bill Danforth deck.

thanks man!
I got to ride with Bill last summer! kool dude! Rad blog!
Give me Neil Blender anyday. Bill is awesome too.
Great description! How can I resist when Reagan's in?
Always rode a Jeff Grosso or Rob Roskopp with Independents and OJII's myself. Is that some Raymond Pettibon artwork?
I played in Oakland when they were in SF, and I played in SF when they were in Oakland. Totally lame that I missed them and Cülo both,,,this EP rules.
They nailed the guitar sound...but I'm sorry, I wish the vocalist would chill out for a minute.
i usually agree with you posts
but this music is the cancer that is killing toronto punk (not that anything good 1979+ ever good came out of that shit hole)
ever since Fucked Up came along, they have created a wave of shitty american hardcore like this.
my opinion only.
weird one of my records popped up on this random blog! School Jerks rips and Robert-its funny we were supposed to play that Leftover Crack show the night of the Oakland gig but some of the Jerks weren't into the idea. That would have been funny if anything else.
i'm honored that you used my scan, haha.
