Very saddened to hear about the sudden passing of Woods of Ypres' David Gold. David was always a very kind and thoughtful individual, and an immense talent. Peace be with his friends and family.
Although i am far too UN-hip to know who they are or who he is; finding out he was merely 31 and died in a car accident, definitely saddens me. Life is precious, temporary and sometimes just shoves its foot right up the asses of those we know and love. Fuck!!! Best to his family, friends and fans!
Sad to hear. I moved to Canada a year after Pursuit of the Sun was released and found out about them there. Signed up for his newsletter and he mailed stuff like magazine/newspaper article scans of the band to everyone and long letters about how the songwriting was going and band happenings. When they started to record "3" he was even mailing everyone guitar strings used in the recording sessions.
It's about sharing hard to find and special recordings. It's not about taking anything away from the artists themselves. Of course if something is in print and you like it, buy it. If you have legitimate claim to something posted here and want it removed, just write me and I'll do so. It's definitely not about furthering any sort of political agenda, you might find some things here that you don't agree with. The views of the bands are their own and don't necessarily reflect my ideology or political views. Of course comments and suggestions are welcomed, but don't be hurt if they aren't responded to or taken. I will do my absolute best to be accomidating. Want to contact me? Do it here:

please put "cosmic hearse" in the subject heading. The main thing to remember is to enjoy the music and share the site with friends. Thanks for riding in the Cosmic Hearse.---Aesop
