Doom On You

"Attack!!! Are you ready for U.S. Speed Metal Attack?!?!?" Good, because Harbinger from Lansing, Michigan aren't fucking around, well maybe a bit. Their ritalin hyper metallic assault is too giddy to not have a tongue somewhere in a cheek. The album, titled Doom On You kicksoff with the track "Drivers To Hell," a spazzed out call to the troops of metal to unite to kill hardcore boys and white belts.Over the next half hour you get plenty more infectious throwback riffs and lyrics about epic metal things, the elimination of posers, and the triumph of metal. I am totally cool with that.

Great stuff. Matt War is also in Wastelander - another awesome band from the midwest.

I've been stuck on a pre-1985 metal kick since DIO died. That includes things that sound like they were recorded before 1985. This fits nicely.

The cover looks like someone wearing tin tits, holding a cookie. 'tis metal.

I met one of these dudes a few years ago. It was a birthday party with a bunch of people the girl I was dating at the time knew. I struck up a conversation with him due to his odd-man-out Angel Witch shirt. He was the first to clue me in that “NWoBHM” could not only be clumsily pronounced letter by letter, but also phonetically, as in “Noowabum”. His name might have been Matt. He had slightly short, curly hair. Cool dude.

Yesss thanks for posting this. We played with these dudes before the album was finished and they were this insane sloppy mess, but were also completely incredible. Along with Skeletor they're probably the best band I've ever discovered on tour
