Proto-death from '86, Sweden's Obscurity were among the first of many sad-eyed Scandi-teens to follow Bathory into sonic Nifelheim and create Sweden's greatest export, Death Metal!!! Their debut, Ovations To Death. was pure primitive exuberance, and pretty extreme for the time. When this was released you were a fucking fetus, poser.

I wasn't a fetus! I was 2!
I wasn't a fetus either ! It took 4 more years for that to happen
18. Years. And I'm man enough to admit that I've never heard of Obscurity.
I WAS 47 'N' I ATE FETUSES WIT' THIS BEIN' MY SOUNDTRACK,SUCKAS!!!!!!!!!
I was born in 87, so i legitimately was a fetus. and i posed hard.
I was old enough to legally drink when this was released, and thus not a fetus, but I still wasn't cool enough to know about it. Shame on me. Thanks for bringing me up to speed.
I wasn't a fetus, I was 14, and very much into Anthrax.
I don't think I would name my band after something I would fall into later on, knowhatImean? As for my 'fetusness', I was 15 at that time and getting my first "10 Tapes For A Penny* (anybody remember that shit?) and masturbating alot.
*= Not really a penny, but I never paid for them, and used fake names.
Ah, I read about these guys in my good ol' Swedish DM book, now's a good time to check them out. And keeping in line with everyone else's comments; "Wah! I was in kindergarten!".
I was 10 and it's the year I heard Possessed's Seven Churches for the first time and I peeed in my pants listening to it.
I was six and only listened to Janis Joplin. Didn't start with the death metal until I was 12.
