WHAT?!!!...I remember me and my mate walking through the darkened streets of our small town at around 3am one morning in the early '80's blasting THE REVOLUTION WILL NOT BE TELEVISED from a boombox, over and over again,at sleeping-squares-destroying volume...how we didn't get lifted still amazes me...it's 5am and I have to be at work in an hour...guess what the piss factory is going to get hit with today...

I was doing some math and figured out that he was 22 when he recorded Pieces of a Man. 24 when he did Winter in America. If that isn't a sign of genuine genius, I don't know what is.

I can't believe I missed this yesterday. Guess I'll have to listen to Pieces of a Man today in his honour. Always sad to see your heroes die.
