the first thing that comes to mind when i think of christian death is this one time when i was 13 in tracy..i was walking around all stoned on the southside, just past downtown, and there was this old motel. i was a little crook back then, trying to always come up on something, and there was this window that was open. i looked inside and there was a really old naked man laying on the bed naked, sleeping,a little end of the line old man room. i was totally into this old man being dead, and instead of trying to see what i could put the grip on,i was just fascinated by thoughts of him just being dead, and if he wasnt i wanted to climb in and kill him. i dont know of any lyricist who embodies the word evocative more than rozz williams and ill always be thankful for christian death, what a fucking amazing piece of art they/rozz were..walking on water in a sea of incest, holy hell
i remember seeing Shadow Project one time in 92 in santa ana..the show got moved from anaheim to a place called the saddleback inn,a country western bar. there was a hotel there that had a hindu gathering going on..death rockers and hindus co-mingling,while rozz and eva,an shadow project played in front of a cowboy backdrop
hey aesop, speaking of early christian death- are you into the super heroines at all?
Fantastic band. Rozz was a real talent, its' a shame the band went the way they did. Still Shadow Project was pretty darn good as was Premature Ejaculation.
Not the biggest fan of live albums, but this alongside Black Flag's Who's got the 10 1/2? is one of my favourite's.
And yes Catastrophe Ballet is brilliant. I prefer it to Theatre of Pain.
yup. you can't go wrong with anything until rozz split but for the most part i can tolerate most of the valor stuff up to and including "the scriptures". this may be heresy but i do find "atrocities" quite listenable. i really like gitane which makes it a bit easier.
It's about sharing hard to find and special recordings. It's not about taking anything away from the artists themselves. Of course if something is in print and you like it, buy it. If you have legitimate claim to something posted here and want it removed, just write me and I'll do so. It's definitely not about furthering any sort of political agenda, you might find some things here that you don't agree with. The views of the bands are their own and don't necessarily reflect my ideology or political views. Of course comments and suggestions are welcomed, but don't be hurt if they aren't responded to or taken. I will do my absolute best to be accomidating. Want to contact me? Do it here:

please put "cosmic hearse" in the subject heading. The main thing to remember is to enjoy the music and share the site with friends. Thanks for riding in the Cosmic Hearse.---Aesop

Gorgeous. I listen to this daily. I couldn't imagine life without these songs. Or death.

Thank you. I needed something other than A Theatre of Pain!
@ Mr. House: go get "ASHES" immediately.
The 1st album is so brilliant and the rest of their stuff is nothing. Why?!
I would argue that the first three are brilliant
Agreed on first three.
3, its a magic number..
Catastrophe Ballet is one of my favourite albums ever. Amazing.
