Some right trippy Kraut Rock instrumenace from Golem. Hammond organs throb, guitars swirl, drums shuffle and pulsate. At times the album is funky and at others it is ominous. The whole affair is swathed in a witchy murk. Open your skull to some Teutonic tabs of pure uncut sonic acid. A veritable lysergermanic feast of psilocybin mind fuck. HIGHly recommended.

so far.. it is great, thanks fro this!

There is a big debate whether this album is actually from 1970's Germany. It was released in the 1990's by Psi-Fi records, who claim this and a few other albums were originally limited releases (50 copies or so) from a label specializing in experimental Krautrock called Pyramid in the mid 70's. I don't think anyone, including extreme German record collectors, can produce any originals, so a lot of people think these were recorded in England in the 1990's. Regardless, this album rules hard. I think there are five other Psi-Fi/Pyramid releases with this one and The Nazgul, a more experimental and spacey band with LOTR inspired names, being the best in my opinion.
Tom, interesting. There was a similar controversy surrounding Jacula's recordings.
yeah i read the same thing about these Psi-Fi releases being hoaxes. Galactic Explorers, Cosmic Corridors, all of em. the story i heard is that the band Sun Dial was somehow involved in/responsible for most of this stuff. some aspects of the production definitely lend credence to the idea of them being recorded in the 90s, at any rate
Looking forward to some mind fuckery. Thanks man.
you don't fuck around do you? this is awesome. 90s or 70s doesn't matter.. this type of stuff is timeless.
My buddy says there's a Genesis P. Orridge connection?
There's no real GPO connection. The producer was credited as "Genius P-Orridge", that's all.
Oh yeah I remember hearing about the "Genius P-Orridge" part. This is not my link, but if you like Golem, check out one of the other Pyramid band The Nazgul. More spacey and really cool.
