Bagatur

Bagatur, from Bulgaria, play some strange Black Metal comprised mostly of keyboards, drums, and whispered vocals. Occasionally there are guitars, horses and battles, and female vocals amidst the bizarre proceedings. Bagatur may have some dodgy politics and nefarious connections, but there is nothing in the packaging or program to really confirm this. Decide for yourself if you are comfortable with this, but be reminded, that doesn't mean you get to decide what is posted.

Ohhh I'm going to ask Nik if he knows this band. He is Bulgarian so if you like he can confirm whether they may have some dodgyness.

For the curious: Bagatur identifies as a "BulgAryan" band, and the person who apparently does everything but the vocals is in/has been in bulgarian nationalist and NS bands.

I wasn't trying to get him to remove the post. I understand that whether a band is nationalist or Nazis is important to some and less to others. It is important to me, and it took about twenty seconds to find out more about this band, so I figured it might help out people who also give a shit about that to confirm dodginess. So fuck off and don't go reading into my motives.

I have no problem with readers providing additional information about the posts, in fact, I appreciate it so long that it is factual and not a personal or ad hominem attack.

As it happens, lock's extra info has led to at least one more download... I dismissed this yesterday as something that I probably wouldn't be interested in, but after looking at his metal-archives link and seeing that the music for this is provided by Alexander from Aryan Art and Sturm Kommand - two bands that I enjoy very much - I'm changing my mind and will give this a go.

Wow, glad I did change my mind! This is way more black metally and less ambienty than I was expecting from the description! Great stuff.
