You Have Been Warned

See these two menacing Darth Vader-in-Elvis-shades figures? They are Warning, an act that could only come from Germany. These guys sort of seem like they could have been the evil counterparts of Rockets. Imagine rather sinister doom/disco/krautrock with gruff, emotionless vocals. Almost a portent of the post-black metal electronica of Thorns, and Dodheimsgard or the pseudo-fascist industrial of Rammstein or Laibach. Really something entirely its own and a work of pure demented genius. You have been warned.

I checked this album out when it was posted on the Mutant-Sounds blog a month or two ago. Really awesome stuff... I would certainly like to know more about it.

I don't know much. There was a second album called "Electric Eyes" though.

I ignored this when it showed up on Mutant Sounds b/c it looked and sounded pretty goofy based on their description... decided to give it a go this time around and it's actually really fucking good. cheers!

btw, what the fuck was the name of that character in your Avatar again? I know it's the Deviant who "defected" and went to live with the Eternals, but I'll be fucked if I can remember his name...

Damn, I missed this on Mutant Sounds. BTW his name is Karkas. Remember he was really educated and articulate.

that's right. I remember the character well, just couldn't think of his name for the life of me. wonder if he'll show up in the new on-going? anyway, I didn't mean to derail the conversation here, carry on...

Hey Aesop, DiNo here. (We've been in touch some time ago on MySpace concerning spammers/hackers and their tactics.)
When I click on 'here' (with Warning, but also Kulturkampf for instance) I get directed to the 'Megaflirt Dating Site'. Is this normal? (Stupid question actually...) ;)

hi man great blog...i was cruising in your blog and downloaded Warning's disc out of curiosity
and to my big surprise the opening song ''why can the bodies fly''sounded very very familiar to me
since it was covered by Austrian death metallers Pungent Stench..
thanks for sharing!

Well, I may be mistaken...

But Magic Castle may be the coolest song I've heard.

Thanks!

The pungent Stench Cover from Dirty Rhymes... is fucking brilliant. Thanks for this odd gem.

Apparently this band was a one hit wonder in Germany because "Why can the bodies fly" was on an episode of a German cop show. They are awesome and the second album is pretty good too.
