Oppression

Sorto, along with Sekunda and Alamaailma, was widely regarded as one of the worst Finnish punks band ever. That is precisely what made me anxious to check them out. Man, I was not disappointed in the least. Sorto was terrible in the best possible way. If you went ape over the amateurish outsider punk of Rutto, Butcher, or Chemotherapy, then you need some Sorto in your life. Trust me, it's bad. You'll love it.

You just can't create chaos like this on purpose. This is how I always wished Rattus would sound like. Just a tad bit sloppier makes a world of difference..............Troy

That Attila record was nice. Have a good friday ,Aesop.

Thanks, Troy. Rattus never really got my attention until the "Stolen Life" LP. Fuck, I gotta post that one one of these days.

As part of my ongoing education, as provided by you and your commenters, this I must hear.

goddamn, that was bad....and the bad songs goes on for such a short time that one can not even get past the badness and start to enjoy it on some other (cathartic) level...(like a joke i saw in Mad: "hey this burger taste like shit...and it is to small!") ...Modern man will pay to be ridiculed...
Thank for the blog

A glorious mess. I bought the '1984-1986' EP ages ago & cherish it.

it's hard to believe that these guys aren't trying to be so shitty, but merely snotty. they succeed at both. immediately reminded me of PASKA. i had a song ("Ace of Spades" no less) on a comp and got to see him by accident on his first trip to USA @ CBGB.

. . . he does acapella songs mouthing out the guitar riffs, drums, solos etc. bad stuff ! ! !:
