Faith v. Void (1982), was a landmark decision of the United States Supreme Court that overturned mediocrity in hardcore splits. The justices ruled in favor of Void. Sandra Day O'Connor got a mohawk shortly after.
i heard of a guy once who was so into the void side that he wouldnt let anyone listen to the faith side around him, even going so far as taking a nail to the faith side so it could never be played. both bands are good, but only void surpasses the good and goes straight for the great.
i didn't bother to really listen to the faith side because the void side was so good. then i heard charles bronson's cover of what's wrong with me which made me reconsider. http://www.last.fm/music/Charles+Bronson/_/What's+Wrong+With+Me%3F+(Faith)
Void/Faith LP listening instructions: 1. Remove LP from sleeve. 2. Place on turntable, Void side up. 3. Place needle on record. 4. When Void side is over, place needle at the start of the same side. 5. Remove record from turntable. 6. Place back in sleeve, file LP away.
It's about sharing hard to find and special recordings. It's not about taking anything away from the artists themselves. Of course if something is in print and you like it, buy it. If you have legitimate claim to something posted here and want it removed, just write me and I'll do so. It's definitely not about furthering any sort of political agenda, you might find some things here that you don't agree with. The views of the bands are their own and don't necessarily reflect my ideology or political views. Of course comments and suggestions are welcomed, but don't be hurt if they aren't responded to or taken. I will do my absolute best to be accomidating. Want to contact me? Do it here:

VOID wins hands down.
"A coming-of-age benchmark: realizing that Void was a better band than Faith. A coming-of-middle-age benchmark: realizing that you don't give an ass."
I have yet to come of middle age, and this is one of my favorite hardcore records of all time.
This is one of the most important cases ever to be heard by The Supreme Court and I wholeheartedly agree with their decision.
This one is right up there with Brown vs. Board of Education.
The cover on the void side always reminds me of the cover of first utterance by comus.
I cite this case often.

void, hands down. great to see some dischord being posted!
The Faith were great too, just not as fucked up.
i heard of a guy once who was so into the void side that he wouldnt let anyone listen to the faith side around him, even going so far as taking a nail to the faith side so it could never be played.

The Faith really got the shit end of the deal, having to be on the other side of a record from Void.
Void were one of those animals that was just too beautiful to live in this world.

one of the first, and best, splits ive ever heard.
the word classic is thrown around a bit too much for my taste, but i truly believe this split is well worth that title
I too agree...the VOID side is one for all time!!!
void. [yes, i need say no more, hell i'll even repeat it:] void.
Yep. Void.
void, thanks!

Fuck to the Void side, put out your post-coital cigarette on the Faith side.
But that's only like 15 minutes of fucking.
