I must thank Hearse reader and friend, Ian Lynch, for pointing me towards this little-known, early Black Metal band from Ireland called Carnun. The band only managed to eke out one great demo called Malkuth in 1996. They obviously paid close attention to the Norwegian bands, for over the course of Malkuth's running time of twenty-one minutes, I hear shades of the early work of Manes, In The Woods, and Satyricon.

I remember that we discussed In the Woods... (I believe it was with you) after Ludicra's show in Montreal last year. I'm interested to see how this sounds. If it's anything similar than I'm in for an epic Odinist/Gælic blackened psych mountain trip. Will listen when I get the chance.
Also, I need to listen to Manes.
Eww, only 64kbps.
This went from average and slightly bland to decent and slightly enjoyable when I forgot to listen to it and it just played on in the background. Now I can keep the positive experience when concentrating on it too!
