Anarki

Absurd, the Swedish punk band not the murderous teenage Black Metal band of the same name, released Blodig Stad in 1982. It's a sloppy, fun, mess of record. I think the title means "Leech Town," I could be wrong, but it does remind me that alot of you download stuff and don't bother to leave comments. What the fuck is up with that? Love Ya!

I don't often leave comments, cause I'm a shy girl. But thanks so much, Aesop.

I'm almost sorry to say it means "Bloody town."

(And I comment like a motherfucker!)

blodig stad = bleeding city.

That's how I always assumed it was, as in the context of war, city is bleeding...perhaps could be a deeper meaning to it, never even thought about it being anything other than literal meaning...

Hey, nice post.. "blodig" actually means bloody..

Well it would seem that my pandering for comments has worked.

Again my Swedish is wrong.

Troy, Craft is fantastic. I think their lyrics deal in very generic bm themes like Satan, War, Nuclear war...

Ionas, I'm gonna check out your site.

...but I need a link to it.

It's not live yet, but I'll let you know. Thanks man.

"bloody city" is literal meaning but without "bloody" meaning a curse

Dude, thanks... I mean, seriously. You're funny, and you spread the musical butter on my toast at breakfast. You rule!

I just love you and sometimes I simply have nothing to say. Surprising, I know.

Always, though, thanks for all your work on this blog. My harddrive is getting angry at me for all my downloading... I may have to get another one. I'll name it after you.

Currently I am fully enjoying the Moëvöt I dl'ed this afternoon while my mother -- who apparently sleeps less than I do -- watches some blonde twat go on and on about something on lovely Fox news.

Yeah, let me join the comment pile-on. I don't always leave comments either cuz I tend to not have anything witty to add...but goddamn dude, your blog has to be one of my absolute favorites! You have turned me on to so much good stuff the last few months. I truly appreciate it...

as expressed above, if i had to comment for every damn record i downloaded,,,,you would probably be sad.

Dude, did you download these rips from: www.kbdrecords.com? It's all the scans from that site in the .zip file anyway.

No, I probably got it from SISK or a usenet. This record has made the rounds on the blogs. No, I don't own the actual EP, though I wish I did? I know some feel this is unscrupulous or lazy blogging but I personally feel that sharing great records eclipses people's weird sense of ownership of files. I tried to provide links back to the original source when possible.

great record, sounds like a d-beating Minor Threat! BONZER! The singer became a priest and apparently when they played a reunion show in the 90's he donned his old leather jacket over his priests frock!

Jesse, you are a wealth of weird and much appreciated info.
